The Tooth Fairy

Jalen lost his first tooth on Fathers Day. We were eating lunch at Huckelberry's Catfish house. Today when I talked to Jalen about the tooth fairy I learned some very interesting facts. She wears a skirt, has a magic wand, and speaks Spanish. He heard her say something to him about his hands but he couldn't really remember. We have learned other interesting facts about the tooth fairy over the years. Jamie left the tooth fairy a note asking her what her name is. The tooth fairy replied to that note that her name is Loosey which is very interesting since I often call Jamie- Lucy. Jackson has also talked to the tooth fairy about how she should fly into Jamie's room and scare her. Who knew the Tooth Fairy was such a character. FYI- $2 for the first tooth and $1 for each additional tooth.

First Tooth

Josie lost her first tooth last night after church. She couldn't go to sleep because she was so excited about the Tooth Fairy coming to visit. When I went to wake her this morning she was sitting up in her bed smiling and holding a folded up dollar bill. She has another loose tooth so I expect the TF will be visiting Josie again real soon.

Tooth Fairy Times Three

When you have a big family you learn to do things in a big way. Well, last night the tooth fairy came in a big way. Jamie, Jackson, and Jalen all were visited by the TF.

Tooth Fairy Tales

We have lost a bunch of teeth at the Montgomery house and we have some stories to tell but tonight tops them all. Josie is the first one of our kids to loose two teeth in the same day.

Click here to read some of the other Tooth Fairy Tales.

Things I'll Miss and Not

I love my kids and as I get older and they get older I miss things. I just walked into the kids bathroom and realized that we probably won't always have Tweetie Bird towels hanging up. Plain towels will make me a little sad. On the other hand, I will never miss people leaving the cap off the tooth paste bottle.

Tonight, I got to go to Scouts with the boys and I helped all the new Scouts earn their Bobcat Badge. I enjoy Scouts but I will not miss it a great deal when the boys decide they are done with it. I got to read 3 books to Josie tonight before bed. I will read books to her for as long as she will let me. We read Mrs. Bindergarten Gets Ready for Kindergarten, The Kissing Hand, and A Bad Hair Day.

Old Journal

I found an old Journal and it only had two stories in it. As you can see by the dates I am not very good at writing things down. This blog really is much easier to keep up with than that old notebook.I will try to find some photos to add to this post soon.

Some of the things that have happened latelythat need to be remembered.

Julie was very sick last week with the flu and a sinus infection. Jerry and Linda came and got Jamie and Jackson and kept them until Thurdsay. When Jamie came home she had a new dress up outfit ( a wonderwoman costume). Thursday night when we were saying prayers, Jenna was saying her prayer and was praying for Jackson to be a better brother and for Jamie to be a better ( and she paused trying to think of a way for it to not sound negative) during the pause Jamie whispered “Superhero”.

Jackson has starting calling his pacy a papese just like Jenna and Jamie called it.

Jenna learned to ride her bike without training wheels.

Jackson loves: mashed potatoes, cars, Dodge comercials, to sing Bible class songs, his soft fleece blankets, wearing the girls shoes and playing outside.

Josie is almost 2 yrs old and she is really starting to talk. She likes to drink milk which she calls monlk. Jalen has a built in airplane and to get the wings out you just have to push his belly button. Jackson just lost his front tooth. Jamie gave her best Valentine card to J Paul Fullerton and Jenna gave hers to Austin Yates.

Loose Boulder

Last night Jalen had a finger stuck way back in his mouth wiggling a tooth. I ask what he was doing and he said " Dad I think I have a loose boulder."
Those word mix-ups are fewer and farther between these days but I still enjoy them when they come.
