Josie started painting on the porch and we all got in on the art act. The rains came and went and we continued producing art. Jamie painted a self portrait van Gogh style. Josie looked at it and said that looks like the Starry Night guy...what's his name.......oh yeah, Banjo.

Thomas Kinkade-Nascar Thunder

I have always loved paintings. I wish I could paint and maybe I could, I have never really tried. I can't draw so I am thinking that I wouldn't be a great painter. Thomas Kinkade, Painter of Light, has always caught my eye because of his masterful use of light. Sometimes though his paintings can look the same. Well I ran across this painting of the 50th running of the Daytona 500 and I really like it. I am not really a Nascar fan but I like the painting. Here is the Thomas Kinkade online gallery

Jalen Painting

Jalen brought home his first Kindergarten Painting. I love the kids art work and the paintings are my favorites. This is a painting of Julie and I standing in a house and the green above us is a bed upstairs. We only have a one story house, so maybe Jalen thinks we are moving. He said that painting is fun but it is a lot of work getting all that sky blue and getting a big sunshine.
