2-5-2014 iPhone Bird Photography
Walking out of my building today I saw this bird sitting on the ledge outside the mirrored window. I was less than a foot from the bird and he had no idea I was even around. Lightly tapping on the window and he even looked in my direction.

165/365 Leica M8 or iPhone 5

I have always liked Andreas Feininger's portrait with his Leica. Here is my variation with Noah Darnell's Leica.
I liked the layers of warm tones and textures.

I love the Leica starburst treatment of the sun. The Magnolia bloom is not bad either. The Leica 35mm F2.5 and its .7meter close focus distance makes for some creative compositions since filling the frame is not an option.

iPhone interpretation of the flowers via the Hipstamatic app and a little enhancing with Snapseed.

111/365 Photo App Migration
4-21-2013
For the past couple of years I have used the Camera+ App as my default camera and it is a great App. Lately, I have been shooting with the Hipstamatic App and I love the variations it gives me via different lenses and films within the App. The Achilles Heel of the App is its terrible autofocus performance. If you get a photo in focus it is awesome and I love shooting in square format and not having to crop after the fact. I also have been using Snapseed to fine tune the images. If I could only have one processing app Snapseed would definitely it.
For the record I shoot most of my photos for this blog with the iPhone 5.
