39-365 The next right answer

2-9-2013

I walk past this window everyday at work. I have photographed sunsets through the window, photographed a squirrel on the outside from inches away due to the mirrored outside service. In the last week, I photographed a beautiful clouded sky reflecting in the mirror surface of the glass. Today at the noon hour, I photographed the lovely light and shadow of the window frames.

As I evaluate my photography, I often come back to the same subject multiple times. I always teach my students that there are always more than one photo to be had in any situation. National Geographic photographer, DeWitt Jones, says he is always looking for the "next right answer."

I like that idea, I like it a lot.
