This is one of the 500 or so football photos that I took today as harding beat OBU 32 to 31. I took this photo with my longest zoom lens a Nikon 80-400VR. A very nice lens but slow when the light gets dim. Tonight a Demacrat Gazette photographer named Chris Dean was shooting the game with a Nikon 400mm F2.8. Towards the end of the game he was starting to pack up and he let me shoot a series with that monster lens.
I love the way the depth of field is so shallow and the player just pops.
Coach Huckeba addresses the team after the final win to go 6-5 this year in what has been a very unusual football season. I think for the first time in a long time football is heading in the right direction at HU.
