Tonight, I shot the prayer vigil for Kailey Massey. It's easy to take this photo because I am a mile away from the people.
This photo was not so easy to take. I was getting close even with a long lens. The tear stains on his cheek tell the story. The point is not to exploit the emotions of a sad event. This photo represents the sentiment of the crowd. It's hard to lose a young person to an automobile accident. Prayers were prayed, songs were sung and candles were burned as we began the healing process as a community.
