Nothing catches my eye like yellow flowers on the side of the road. Nobody planted these flowers. God planted these flowers in the parking lot of an abandoned shipping company.
I am reminded of God's promises to take care of us like he takes care of the flowers. Only God is taking care of these flowers.
I shot all these photos with the Hipstamatic App. Hipstamatic is not my go to app for photos because it is unpredictable. I like things that are predictable. Life is unpredictable and that often it can be hard.
When you focus your life on God things may be unpredictable but there is a beauty that is unmistakeable. In Mt 6 Jesus says that we are more important than the flowers. Mt 11 Jesus says we can cast our cares on him and he will give us peace. Those are unmistakably beautiful promises.
We know that Romans 8 says that "all things work together for good for those that love the Lord." James 1 says " count it all joy when you face trails of many kinds. "
These flowers really were beautiful and Sunday night they were a gift from God.
Psalms 19:1-4
The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2 Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
3 They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
4 Yet their voice[b] goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
