Steve Forbes spoke on campus tonight as the final American Studies speaker for the year. It was great to hear someone talk about the economy in positive terms. He mentioned a few things that are needed to make our economy strong again.
1. Strong Dollar
2. Flat Tax System
3. Free Market for Health Care
4. Social Security Accounts for Individuals
Hearing these things put in perspective with sub-prime lending bust and other things in the news was really encouraging.
