Sunday, Jackson walked across the stage at the Benson auditorium and graduated from high school. It really doesn't seem like that long since I graduated from Memphis Harding Academy although in reality it has been 30 years. I am thankful for Harding Academy and all the administrators, teachers, coaches, custodians, watch dogs, cross walk officers, lunch room monitors and anyone else that had a hand in helping Jackson become this young man that I am so proud of.
I love the Harding Academy tradition of the chorus singing The Lord Bless You and Keep You to the Seniors and then the Seniors sing it back.

Special thanks to my mother-in-law for this photo. She has become quite adept at handling a Nikon D5.
Jackson loves Dr. McLarty or Mr. Bruce as he calls him. Mr. Bruce was the preacher at College Church when Jackson was born and for most of his growing up years. Jackson knew that when Mr. Bruce got up to preach he could have 2 match box cars to play with. A car in each hand kept in mostly out of trouble during church.

Quarterback-Center Combo are a special bond. My memory of Jackson and Davis will always be a moment in a game after a pass was intercepted and Jackson came off the sidelines upset. I said "Jacks, Davis is a sophomore and he is learning give him a break." Jackson looked at me and said " Dad, Davis is a junior and he needs to get it together."
Colby is the kid that doesn't belong in this group of Montgomery siblings. But he does belong because he goes with Jenna and I am good with that.
I love Elijah even if he is an LSU fan.
Coach Evans has been a blessing to Jackson. Football coaches are special people and I am thankful for the positive influence they have been of Jackson.
Coach Fullerton and baseball have been highlights. I will confess I am not going to miss Coach Full's novel length text messages.
One more thought about these photos. I pulled them out to text to Jackson per his request-"Hey Chief, are you going to send me any photos?" I accidentally dropped them in to a text message thread to Doug Glenn instead of Jackson. Thankfully Doug was a good sport about it and I followed up with a couple of photos of Anna Grace and all was well again.
