Super Blue Blood Moon

I got up Wednesday morning and shot the Super Blue Blood Moon.  We haven't had one since 1866 and will not have another one until 2037.  Lord willing I will be 68  when it happens again.  Super Moon is when the moon is as close as it can get to the earth. It looks 20% larger than normal.  The Blue Moon s the second full moon in a month. The Blood  Moon occurs when the earth goes between the sun and the moon.

Addendum:  I got an email on Thursday that this photo was chosen by the Only In Arkansas blog as the photo of the week.  My friend and fellow University Photographer Abby Tran had submitted a photo and had it accepted as a photo of the week.  She posted the link to our classroom web page for our students and that is how I learned about the contest.
